Our History

Clarke & Co. is not your parent's law firm. Well, actually we might be, but you know what we mean.

 

Daniel J. Clarke practiced with Lowes, Salmon, Gadbois & Clarke for over 8 years and took over Tim Lowes' Waterloo practice in 2020, where his down-to-earth, compassionate, and humorous approach resonated with clients looking for a less stuffy and pretentious legal experience. 

 

Mackenzie L. Mohr was Dan’s first law student, but hardly his last. Mackenzie ultimately articled and practiced with Bennett Grant before Dan was lucky enough to have Mackenzie return to build and grow their collective vision.

With the retirement of John Levesque, formerly of Levesque and Deane, in the Fall of 2025, Dan expanded his practice as he welcomed many of John’s clients and staff. To accommodate the growth, Dan bought John’s office and renovated it to further his vision of law done differently.

And so, Clarke & Co. was founded to build on Dan and Mackenzie’s less conventional approach to the practice of law to give people a different and hopefully better experience.
